ShaDe Atelier is founded by Deepa Rajan, an Interior Designer, hailing from Trivandrum, Kerala with over 7 years of professional experience in interior construction, product creation, styling, lecturing and installation based project works. 

Rooted in her love for design and inspired by the cultural richness and natural beauty of her hometown, Trivandrum, she brings a thoughtful, sensitive, and refined design approach into every creation.

• Professional Journey

Formally trained in Interior Design, and shaped by years of academic study, material exploration, and hands-on design practice in the industry. She has always focused on how surfaces, textiles, and spatial elements shape everyday living. Her experience spans residential-commercial interiors, furniture development, styling and teaching has shaped her ability to blend creativity with functionality and precision. 

ShaDe Atelier is a natural extension of this journey. This brand represents years of preparation, observation and quiet building - now combined as a design language.

Her passion lies in interior design, product design, and creating meaningful business solutions within the design industry. 

Raised amidst Trivandrum’s layered architecture, soft natural light, lush greenery, and tactile built heritage, her design sensibility was shaped early by the city’s quiet richness. These influences gently surface in her colour stories, material palettes, and styling approach. Her love for fabrics, textures, craftsmanship, and detailing inspired the birth of ShaDe Atelier — a space where creativity meets comfort and design meets emotion. 

She believes that soft furnishings are not merely decorative elements, but emotional layers that define how a space feels, flows, and lives.
